Bizarre

I'm trying to catch up with blips while watching England against Ukraine on the telly.

This is Geraldine and we think I will be handing over to Geraldine on Saturday.

There will be a bit in the local paper on Thursday and we were chosen for the photo shoot because we are Fylde residents running in Fylde. I just had to blip Geraldine and Tony the photographer.

Tony has been offered a place on the media vehcle and we hope we have persuaded him to not only take that place but to joing us at 4.20 on Saturday to capture the whole thing.

It looks rather like my blip for Saturday will be "inside the relay".

Tony took lots of shots of us in various situations. Me "running" towards Geraldine, both of us holding "The torch" (an inflatable version). He couldn't get over how "easy" we were to photograph. Smiles were easy and we up for everything he suggested plus a few of our own. Right down to "Let's do a shot in the middle of the road. Trust me Tony, it's THE shot you want!"

He thought Geraldine and I had known each other for years because we got on so well. Truth is we'd never met but I knew I was in the presence of an inspirational woman because she is a Torchbearer. Maybe she felt the sme I don't know

Tonight I got a text from Runhills to say he'd seen my photo in a car in Preston advertising Saturday. Now that is Bizarre
