Bugbane

A complete change from yesterday, with hardly an insect in sight. It's very much cooler with no sunshine. So I've been taking photos of the plants which usually attract the bees and the butterflies.

This one is quite striking with black leaves and stems and pale pink, almost white flowers. The fower fronds are just starting to unfurl like ferns. I've added the colour version as an extra.
