Remembrance Sunday

Up early for a cobweb-blowing walk to the service of Remembrance at St. Andrew's Anglican Church with a couple of hundred or so other people. The Last Post never fails to raise goose-bumps and we were silent at 11am (Russian o 'Clock) to remember the fallen. A few Russian veterans were there, along with the British Ambassador and other dignitaries, who laid wreaths.

Sherry was then served in the narthex (our word of the day!) before five of us adjourned to Coffee-Mania (think very upmarket Starbucks) for a coffee and vanilla eclair. Four hours (lunch, beers, more cake) later...

As promised yesterday, I've uploaded some photos to the very out-of-date blog. (Link in 'about'...)
