ABSTRACT ASPHALT

A dark day again.I spend the morning reading, again.
In the afternoon, it was still very dark, but it did not rain, after a short deliberation we decided to make a walk through town and following after that the path along the Diemel.
At the bridge over the Weser we met several friends at the same time.
Our friend Gerlinde, a former teacher, told us that she had been telephoned by the maire asking her if she would like to give german language lessons to the newly arrived refugees who are installed in a big vacant hotel.
She had met them already and while we were standing on the bridge some of them walked there too, and she greated them by their name.
We had a nice walk and as my eyes are always wandering for subjects I noticed the water that had gathered in the newly made asphalt.
This happens to be my contribution to the Abstract Thursday challenge, that is gently hosted by .youoregon1.

My haiku:

Be welcome the motto
Of our conviction that all
Humans could be friends

And the proverb:

He/She is a friend at a sneeze; the most you can get of him/her is a God bless you.
