T In The Dark

Another non productive harvest day.
Brought the spring calving cows in and took the bull out and swapped him for a fresh one. He wasted no time in getting on with the job .
Tagged some more calves,then there was a buyer in to go through the lambs to see what was fit to sell store.
The heavens opened for half an hour at lunch time,so I nipped away for a hair cut,then came home via the straw fields. The one 6 miles from home had missed the worst of the rain,but still too damp to bale.
Spent the afternoon doing the dreaded paperwork,then went to check the straw again tonight.
IF it doesn't rain it might do tomorrow sometime.When I passed the pub tonight I spotted the usual crowd of smokers at the door.For a brief moment,I wondered who had the better life. Someone is daft,and perhaps it's not them !
The T for Tennents did look inviting in the dark .
