All that is left of Cockenzie's Chimneys.

Jimmy .... Jimmy ! Ken the greet big chimneys ... aye ... they've collapsed !

This is all that remains today  of the two chimneys at Cockenzie Power Station.

The cars in Cockenzie were coated in a fine dust that reminded me of living in the desert.

The East Lothian coastline without the chimneys looked really odd. I am sure we will get used to it - eventually.

Everyone we spoke to at the site this morning was full of stories  of what they had seen yesterday - keen to show their own photos of the demolition - and to regale us with their stories of how the former power plant has impacted on  them and their families  lives.

It was one of those unusual days when everyone we met wanted to talk about the chimneys and their demolition.

It was also a wonderful day for a long walk in the beautiful East Lothian countryside.
