Kielder Burn

A very welcome day's annual leave, and we decided on a long weekend at Kielder Campsite. So we packed up the car, hitched up the caravan and MrM drove us down via Rothbury. Some fabulous scenery on a lovely, sunny morning.

In the afternoon, a walk by the Kielder Burn up to Kielder Castle and the hide beyond it. Lots of birds on the feeders there but no red squirrels. Nice restful evening in the caravan with a couple of ciders.

My daughter Lucy's birthday today - she's flying off to Stockholm to celebrate with a friend who's living there. Happy Birthday Lu!
