To Do One's Bit (4)

Today Beach Buddies, the beach cleaning charity that I support, had a meeting in the north of the Island quite near to my home.

Therefore I had no excuse not to be there!

Here you see a bright and shiny refuse bin that has been installed at the beach access for the benefit of patrons.   The initial cost of this was provided by the local commissioners (parish council) and in future it will be emptied and maintained by the charity.  Lying in front of it is just a small part of the rubbish that was removed from the beach.

I am impressed by the way this charity can get things done with the help of enthusiastic volunteers!
