New Toy

No 1 isn't too happy about staying at home for her first year at university.  We live too close for her to live in halls, but I have a sneaky suspicion she may move out in the next year anyway   She's got the bug to spread her wings.

In the meantime though, she has some cash to splash and a student loan burning a hole in her pocket.  When I started college I bought a new ring binder, pencils and a flowcharting template (for Computer Studies - all those hand drawn flowcharts!!!).  It would appear that students nowadays require a new piece of electronica to assist them in their studies.

Ach, she's a hard worker, and starts a new job at the weekend.  As my mum would say (when you purchased an expensive non-essential item) " at least you're not spending it on DRINK!" !!! 

(and she wasn't a stranger herself to a wee whiskey and lemonade at the Bingo on a Friday night).
