New camera

Well, we took the plunge.  I'm now the proud owner of a Canon SX60.  

We went to Jessop's to get it.  But the marked price was £18 more than when we looked a few days ago.  They had put up their prices that very morning!  The manager refused to budge on the price, so we went off in a huff, saying that we would buy it from"Mr Tax Dodger" as my sister and her partner refer to a certain online store.  

Due to a combination of circumstances, we had parked in the John Lewis car park, so we thought we would just pop into their camera section.  And lo - they had the Canon for the price it had been in Jessops till that morning - presumably they were "price matching" and we got lucky!  We would never have bothered to check John Lewis normally - we don't expect it to be the cheapest place for anything, even if it is often the best!

I played with it a little in the restaurant where we had lunch - I've added one of the pictures as an extra - but the battery came with very little juice.  I took it to work to charge it, and used my old camera for my blip.

All set and raring to go now!
