Caught this gorgeous little mallow out on my walk today, soaking up the autumn sun.  It's the common mallow and grows beautifully round here, loving the alkaline soil and footpath edges.  So it's in my journal for today's Flower Friday.  Thanks so much to BikerBear for hosting

Decided to do the selective colour thing again, about which I always feel a little equivocal.  I hope think it works here.  And I'm sorry, I seem to be late tonight.  May have to finish commenting in the morning.
