Bright eyed and legless

Mr C and I planned a day out today. Well, planned as in we wanted to go out but no decisions to where. I fancied going upto town don't think Mr C was too keen! (He has had a cold all week!!!!). So I suggested going to the book festival on Wimbledon Common, near the village. Hoping it would be a smaller scaled version of Cheltenhams festival. However, I was wrong just one events tent. No smaller activities or food stalls. All in all disappointing.

We had a stroll around the village which was buzzing with people enjoying the (last??) sunshine and stopped for a lovely Thai meal. You may be wondering about my title (or not ;-)). Whilst in the restaurant in came an elderly gentleman slowly walking with two sticks but singing and very happy. He sat down, rolled up his trouser leg and took off his false leg, propping it against the dresser next to him (see extra)!!! It did make me chuckle. After a while he put it back on so he could visit the loo!

Gutted about rugby, was glad to see Antony Watson score as He played with Josh at London Irish youths. Think I may support Japan whilst Mr C is cheering on Ireland.

Up early again, getting to be a (bad!!!) habit :-(
