Dust and Smoke
29 degrees today our hottest October since the 70's. We are being hit with some extremely strong Norwest winds which are very hot winds and gusting upto and exceeding 120 kmh. In Dunedin the have had some nasty scrub fires stretching the Fire Service. One Firefighter was being interviewed on the Radio and was saying they had seen Livestock on fire and then had to drop the phone as another sheep was on fire. In this paddock they are planting spuds and the dust coming of the machine being towed by the tractor was sending this dust for miles. In the distance you can see where someone has a fire burning away, people are so inconsiderate and stupid
