Diary of an Edinburgher

Andalucia Day One

A leisurely breakfast, then a two minute walk to station, back to the airport to meet up with the rest of the group, who were arriving from Gatwick at midday. Malaga airport is a bit of a nightmare - it's huge, and we had trouble finding where the tour buses were parked, but eventually we all met up. Thank goodness for What'sApp - I was in touch with the tour leader, as soon as they landed. He looked pretty stressed by the time he got everyone to the bus. But was very pleased that he didn't have to then go looking for us.

An hour and half drive to Ronda, and free time till the meal in the evening. We walked into town and stopped at the first crowded tapas bar we came to. Delicious little dishes, with the waiter trying to explain what each thing was. But we chose well. We came out of that bar and found an even better one ten yards down the road. So we had to pop in for just a beer and the atmosphere this time.

A wander down the hill to the famous gorge. I had an ice cream while JR was most interested in the shoe shops.

Back to the hotel in time for the exciting Wales/Aussie match. And I see that Scotland won their game!! The hotel has the most wonderful garden area overlooking the countryside.

We've had regular photographic updates on Archie's holiday. He's having a whale of a time.

Had to have the (stitched) shot of the gorge. And the famous bull at the famous bullring (a guided tour of that tomorrow).
