Coanwood Friends Meeting House
Today was the day for our Special Interest walk visiting the art installation at Coanwood Chapel. It was a lovely day and the group enjoyed a 6 mile ramble around the area.
I gave them little bits of information about the Quakers and about the background to this meeting house as we went. This made a build up to arriving there at lunchtime, after which Julie gave a talk about the work she has done. It looks much better than last time I was there with more work included.
We sat outside for lunch with a few people on forms from inside. Will, our own resident artist, took the opportunity to sketch the people sitting in front of the chapel.
The extra is a group shot. I told them I would do it in sepia. It seemed appropriate somehow.
Only one more day to go.........
