Lunch preparation
Friends visited us today - they were staying in Tavira and came by train - so I set about preparing lunch for them on the BBQ.
For the first time in days I found fresh sardines for sale. With these and frozen prawns we had a good meal in prospect.
While I am fine with filleting and butter-flying fish I was not prepared for the length of time to prepare the prawns and removing the bile gut. Took a while but soon they were ready marinading in lime and ginger.
All went well and a lovely lunch was had followed by a trip to the beach to see the coastline. Then a BBQ dinner of chicken in lemon and garlic with risotto. Followed by several games of UNO.
