Calico Ghost Town, California, USA

Sometimes you have to do the twee touristy things so here we are in the Calico Ghost Town near Yermo, California.

We've travelled up from San Diego, through Hemet, Beaumont, Redlands, Running Springs, Big Bear City (didn't see any live bears - big or otherwise!), Barstow and into Calico - wow, it's a desolated area up here!!!

It's over 100 degrees which means that the tourists are few and far between - only two crazy English ladies out in the mid-day sun (no mad dogs or Englishmen though) ....... all that being said, it's actually very well done and was worth the drive. Took a lot of photos but liked the way the shadows fell on this one!

Tonight we are staying in Ridgecrest before traversing Death Valley ......
