Waymarkings

These waymarkings, especially the orange ones, keep cropping up along our way. Sometimes, they are on small wooden poles, like this one, and sometimes painted on rocks and trees. Even at the summer house, they can be found at the side of the rather small countryside road.

I asked what they are for, and mum explained that they mark a walking trail that crisscrosses through our province Östergötland. She claims she has already walked 250 kms of it, before we had each other. So...is it possible, I asked, to walk from our home to the summer house? And she said Yes, but it would require long hikes every day, and wild camping and rough living for several days on end. I'm in! I said. She replied that winter is coming and we'll see next year.

I mean, how cool would that be? Walking to the summer house! And we would HAVE to get a tent.
