Last light
At the end of another perfect autumn day, the light from the setting sun catches these leaves on the shore road at Toward. There is a cormorant sitting on a rock at the edge of the water - it slid into the sea shortly after I took this - and beyond, the islands of Bute and Cumbrae lie in a peach-coloured haze. My extra photo was taken this morning, by way of contrast in time and colour: Dunoon pier against the low-lying mist of the morning.
I keep telling myself this wonderful weather can't go on for ever, but it's been a delight to walk in windless conditions without the rain battering on my face. I could get used to it ...
