To be or ...

A night at the cinema / theatre.  We went into Edinburgh to see the production of Hamlet beamed into cinemas which is a first for us.  One of the anniversary gifts.

I took the precaution of taking some quick shots beforehand.  This is one of the dogwoods - leaves are wonderful and the stems are getting ready to give us some winter colour.

We thoroughly enjoyed the cinema/theatre experience.  The production was excellent - pacy, witty, profound - with some extraordinary performances.  Benedict Cumberbatch was brilliant but he was not alone in that.  While not having the immediacy of live theatre, there was no other way we would have seen this and we'll be looking out for more.  Thanks kids.

I clapped at the end.  But no-one else did.  So I stopped.  I'm such a conformist at heart.
