T.E.Lawrence - Hero and Biker
After breakfast at the Millennium Copthorne hotel I went, as planned, to the National Motorcycle Museum. It's a fascinating place with some incredible machines of all shapes and sizes. Ancient, modern and some wierd ones but my favourite was the Brough Superior, same type that my hero, T.E.Lawrence rode and was killed when he swerved to avoid some children on the road.
This is one attraction that I can recommend to anyone with any inkling of interest in vehicles, but particularly motorcycles of course.
This Brough Superior model was unusual in that the exhausts were one on either side of the bike whereas a feature of Brough bikes was a double exhaust on the nearside (right) of the bike.
