Adult Honeyeater

I really hadn't intended for my washing to make yet another appearance here on blip. Honest!

A few blips ago, you might remember the three young Honeyeaters perched daintily amid my washing. I told the story back then of how, as the Honeyeaters matured, the area surrounding their eyes would turn to a bright blue shade.

This morning, before the rains came, (and unfortunately, before my washing had dried!) I took this photo of an adult bird, looking very pretty, again perched on the clothes line!

If you wouldn't mind looking past the clothes, you will find the most beautiful shade of blue around this little twitter-birds eyes.
