The Garden Trail

Blip mate and I went on a garden trail today that was being held to raise money for the Toy Library. There were 24 properties available to visit, but we managed to spend the whole morning at the first one we reached.

The garden was superb - large and built around small lakes hosting  white swans and ducks with ducklings in tow.  As well as old and established trees, there were masses of rhododendrons in flower, iris's, dogwoods and many rare perennials .The greens were unbelievably lush after the recent rain.

Now I have seen which view Riwaka7 (Blipmate) has chosen, I will blip a different scene of the house seen through the trees. Some more views of the house and gardens are in the extras. What looks like scum on the surface of the water in the first extra is actually the fluffy seeds of the willow. It was drifting down like snow.
