The Bell Tower

Today we drove across the spectacular alpine mountain range that constitutes "the spine" of the principal Japanese island of Honshu.
James took us to Takayama for the day.

It Was sunny and warm.
This town is known for its many temples, medieval housing and the brewing of sake (which I sampled - but purely for educational purposes!)

The blip today is of the Bell Tower of Unryuji : Temple Shoromon in Takayama, surrounded by the autumn colours.
