Hot-Dog anyone?!

Nearly went for a snap-shot of 42's red phone-box because I saw one (in use) in the centre of Moscow today!
However, I've settled for the hot-dog stand - it's not pronounced as it looks!
The first four letters definitely spell 'star' to you and I, the next letter is silent and then I think it's 'oz' but again, don't quote me!
