Jeff and the Fireballers played at the Legion for Ed Francis' 80th birthday - quite a time - so much fun - but the highlight moment for me was Jeff singing My Dingaling and looking out into the crowd and seeing Imogene clapping and smiling and singing-along - she looked after jeff when he was younger
nice to unwind with a few beers and lovely people at end of a hard work week - i put together a couple stories on local efforts to help refugees, which triggered an outpouring of xenophobic misinformation and intolerance on our FB group - as Buddha said, Life is sorrow.
For some reason, I was so heartened by the good works and caring hearts of local people, that the ugly hardened hearts couldnt touch me (writing this the following Sunday, i am tired and dont want to hear anymore - ha)
Friday was a great day.
