The spreading of a wing
The rain stopped and suddenly the yard was filled with birds. I took 45 photos in just minutes, but this was the only one I thought was worth blipping. I love the wings in motion. The squirrels have been enjoying the suet, so I have to find a way to discourage them. But I also saw a flicker today and a stellar jay, and they are big for that little feeder. Guess I can't be picky and I have to let everyone enjoy.
“My turn shall also come:
I sense the spreading of a wing.”
― Osip Mandelstam, The Selected Poems
