In remembrance

For reasons that are not entirely clear to me there are two war memorials in the graveyard of Middle Littleton parish church, and memorial wreaths are laid at the other one. However I still made a silent personal salute at this one as we passed through on our dog walk this morning.

I'm late posting today because I decided that it would be a wizard wheeze to go to Stratford this evening, to try to photograph the Rugby Club fireworks from up on Bordon Hill. Actually it wasn't much fun, but I won't bore you with the details; the good news is that I now have nearly twelve months to think of a better way of capturing this display without actually setting foot in the Rugby Club. The best shot I managed from the hill is in here as an extra.
