Woken

Woken early by the sound of pelting rain against the window.
Looong time since we've had a good pelt, or gale.
Plenty of both today.

Feels good, but then I didn't HAVE to go out in it.
Retirement is a constant joy.
Don't be fooled, the blue colour is not true to the sky, just a trick of the camera settings.  It barely got light all day and I've had the lights on since I was woken at 5.00am.
