Do you want a trowel?

This is another example of the absurdity that reigns in our house.
Honestly, if it wasn't absurd and silly, I think I would give up.

Very long day, but staying to supervise the library until 7pm was so worthwhile - giving some of our students somewhere quiet to work for a few hours after school is priceless and, without doubt, they were each grateful for the time.  Our Head boy commented on understanding how hard our staff work and what they do to support our students - he asked myself and another colleague "why?" and we were honest - that it is completely worth all of the battles along the way to see students smile and realise that effort equates to success.  Sometimes the 'little extras' that we do in terms of our time are worth so much more than the time spent.  That, THAT, is why we do it.

Also, knowing I am coming home to my fabulous family makes anything negative go away.
