All things considered....

...little 'Half Tail' seems to be doing pretty well. He's certainly getting bolder/more used to us - so I was able to get quite close to him today - I guess he feels pretty protected in the thicket. Having only half of his tail (which I've tried to show in this blip & the extra) certainly doesn't seem to be a difficulty for him - he's still very agile, fast & assured on his toes!

It's much the same for me - saw the surgeon today & the MRI scan had slightly unexpected results - the impingement has responded well to the injections and a long rest - and there's no sign of the dreaded (for climbers) rotator cuff damage. However there is acute osteoarthritic degeneration of the acriomoiclaviscular (AC) joint and damage to the supraspinatus tendon - so I need a different operation (larger) to the one originally envisaged and they'll do the (now considered minor) original procedure at the same time - but it can be put off for a while because there's a whole winter of fun ahead!*

*I'm very lucky to have an accommodating surgeon - and his advice was delay till its nearly unbearable as it's an operation that might need to be repeated in the future.
