Inside The Brenchley
Anyone who has been to Edinburgh at Christmas will have been to the Dome which was the corporate headquarters of the Royal Bank of Scotland until it was converted in to a bar in 1993. Someone from the Brenchley has been to or heard about the Dome and have tried to create, allbeit on a more modest style, Maidstone's own Dome.
The Brenchley was also a bank, a branch of the National Westminster. Susan worked there for a while before training as a teacher and always finds it interesting to go back in and talk about what used to happen in different parts of the building.
We'd walked into town for haircuts. Had a coffee and scone afterwards. I spent the late afternoon back at the primary school where I'm a governor discussing ICT and computing. Sitting on infant sized chairs!
Yesterday's shot was of a Paua shell, or Abalone mollusc. Correct, socal1984. This one was brought back from New Zealand.
