Rippon Winter

The Rippon Vineyard is just a short trot from home and open to the public to walk through all year. Often in the morning when the grass is wet The Boss will come this way and so this morning we arrived and The Boss provided entertainment to some Asian visitors by standing on tippy toes with his camera above his head, trying to see the tilted viewscreen live view and clicking away. We should have brought a stepladder. No I didn't offer to go back and get one...I'm too little...OK?
On another completely different subject go Google CNN Colorado Fires and see what the weather patterns are doing there. The B's were there last year and visited many of the spots threatened and some destroyed. An unthinkable disaster made worse by the unusually mild winter and lack of snow / water. Wanaka seems to be starting out winter in the usual way and as the school holidays are now up and running we will be a tad more crowded than usual I suspect. More dogs to meet and greet on the mount.
