Castlerigg Stone Circle

Managed to get out before breakfast for the sunrise despite it being at 7:45 am and I had to be back for 8:30 am.

Despite the sunrise being behind the Hellvellyn range at this time of year the confusion of high and low level clouds allowed for this colouring of the sky, which was great to see.

After breakfast we headed for Aira Force, but had to abandon just after midday due to more 'subtle' weather.  We ummed and ahed as to what to do but in the end plumped for a nearby tea room to continue our education in photography.
