Bare Birches

I'm trying to up my exercise now I feel more like my old self after the operation.  Normally Thursday is badminton day, but I don't think that is a very good idea for a few more weeks.  Instead I headed out mid morning in beautiful sunshine, only to return later with the rain starting.  It was mightily frustrating.

These birch trunks have been hidden behind a dense canopy of leaves until recently. I liked the contrast with the dark background.
