It's started

The day started with a meeting at Edinburgh Council offices to discuss the role and training needs of Panel Practice Advisers.

Then on to Glasgow for a meeting with SCRA and Social Work Scotland to talk about the children's hearings system and how to improve operational issues.

Then on to Strathclyde University to the now annual Kilbrandon lecture. This year it was Alexis Jay talking about leadership in child protection with specific references to her investigation into Rotherham. And a good opportunity to catch up with friends and former colleagues.

As I headed for a late train to Edinburgh I was a bit surprised to see that the George Square lights were on. But I suppose we are just over a month away!
