HOBBITON!!!!

My dreams have come true! I have finally gone to Hobbiton! When I got to Hobbiton I literally had tears flowing down my face. It was so beautiful. The place that Hobbiton was located was actually on a family farm that raises sheep, cow, and deer. The farm has rolling green hills just like in the movies and almost everything there is authentic. They had a huge vegetable garden that was real! They use the vegetables and fruits like onions, squash, potatoes, pears, etc., to feed guests here. The hobbit holes are authentic, but they only go about a meter deep and it was wooden on the inside. The green dragon sold all kinds of famous beers from the movie, but I don't drink so I got a virgin ginger beer which was so good! Our bus driver was so much fun and he told us a lot of history on the way. He told us about the history of Kiwis and Australians and how they make fun of each other, but they will always defend each other. He also told us random facts about the different types of materials that were popular in New Zealand such as possum and merino wool clothing which apparently lasts a long time and the wool makes it durable and the possum makes it soft. Another fun fact that we learned was that a city was named after a website for a whole year to promote and well that person is a billionaire now. All in all, today wasn't only a dream come true, but it was also a very fun and educational day!
