WORKING TILL DUSK

A bit of snow in the morning, it stayed for a while at the terrace.
Then the whole morning the sky kept grey looking. I went to feed the birds and felt how awfully cold it was. No way of working in the garden, and not only because of the cold.
Happily enough the sun came out at 3 pm. and we took the opportunity right away. We drove to a path that led to the Höllebach  (brook of hell) and that sounds more hellish than it looked like when we came there.
We walked along the brook, the path went up and up.and we had some splendid views over the valleys.
Now and then we saw deers, but only their tail.
My picture shows a farmer in his tractor at the top.
The sun started to go under and the sky was coloured in different pink and red shades. A new walk and a nice one it was.

My haiku:

From one field to the
Next the farmer worked all day
The birds did follow

And the proverb:

The first and last frosts are the worst.
