Duck duck

Marley and Kanye came back from mums this morning tired and grumpy.

We decided to go to the local community fair that was on around the corner from us but as we walked down the driveway Marley cried, and screamed and wailed. 

He was tired and he'd lost it. We carried on, promising fun. We got there he continued to cry and wail, then Harper started to wail, he still isn't feeling so great. So i took them straight home while Andre stayed with Kanye at the fair, he said he had a great time, Kanye got his face painted, had a snow cone and patted the pony.


Around lunch time after they'd all done nothing for a couple of hours, Andre was looking tired and exhausted, hes had a busy week at work. So i decided to take the boys for a walk into town.

Each year the major department store in the city puts a Christmas display in their window, with a different theme each year and moving characters along with a continuous telling of the story as you look at the window through their announcement system. Each year they make a huge afternoon of it, painting kids faces, putting a show on, santa arrives. Its pretty cool. 

The unveiling was yesterday afternoon but with the boys at mums i decided to take them today.

The wind was cold but the sun was out so they wore their jackets.

We took our time walking along to the city. After we saw the window we carried on past all the construction to the gardens where they recently opened a new cafe by the kids playground called duck duck. Its sweet and very appropriate.

They sell ice creams, hot chips, little healthy lunch packs and coffee for parents. 

After they ate their chips we went to the playground where they played for a bit.

We carried on our walk back through the gardens to the museum. They really love the bird exhibit there, and at the moment they have a spider display which the kids were interested in.

We were all a bit tired so we wandered back home. Kanye and Harper fell asleep on the way, sweet little guys!

Before bed, i noticed Kanye had a rash on his arm. I called the hospital as this was a warning i was given about this new medication that it can be common for them to come out in a rash and it needs to be dealt with as it can spread fast and affect their throat.

So the doctor on the childrens unit i spoke to said that he would contact the on call neurologist which luckily happened to be Kanyes usual neurologist. They asked me to send through photos.

The neurologist was happy with the few spots he had that he would be ok but to watch to see if it spreads or if he develops flu or fever like symptoms. He seemed to think it was Kanyes body adjusting to the new medication.

So we'll wait and see what happens!
