Bogor
Trip to see friends in Bogor, mainly to visit the old impressive botanical gardens founded by the Dutch, and secondly to deliver vodka and wine which are not easy to come by in Indonesia unless you scratch around in dingy stores in the expat area of Jakarta.
There is a lot of human activity on Java - it's the world's most heavily populated island and very crowded. Bogor is essentially part of the capital's sprawling conurbation. You can get snarled in traffic anywhere so leisure activities have to be meticulously planned to avoid queues to sit down at restaurants, death-defying weaving through traffic on motorbikes and train journeys with your face pressed up against the window.
Must plan more meticulously in future to avoid all of the above.
