Step Cautiously

Watch as the World Changes Color

Sure, that makes sense. There is obviously supposed to be snow at the end of October. Because for Halloween, I was really hoping to be a snow coated soccer player.

I used to hate the snow. I still hate having to shovel it, but there is a bit of love I have for it. It is so pretty. It does transform the world into a different scene. There is something beautiful to be said about the blanket of white that is laid down on the ground as the snow falls.

When I was younger, I used to ask my mom why the snow couldn't just stay white and not get dirty. I used to just love its pristine look. I don't think she understood what i was asking because she would always say that obviously it had to get dirty. That's what dirt did when it mixed with the snow. It was always sad to me that she could never open her mind up to the "what if's" that I used to throw at her.

I think we should all try to open our minds to that. Sure, what is the point of looking at the what if because it will never happen and it is a waste of brain power and imagination, but on the other end of it, why waste our thoughts contemplating limits to our everyday experience. Why not open our minds to outside possibilities, discover a new world, a better world, a more wondrous world outside the limitations this one presents.
