Collapsing silos in Swellendam
We have a long list of projects that we want to finish, some of them were originally meant to be given to professionals, but the whole of South Africa's building community stops working middle December and only starts again middle January, so nobody was interested in our small renovation jobs. It has kept us very busy, little time for picture taking or playing Candy Crush! Today we went to the industrial area to try and find some power tool to hire (no luck), and to order some wood for the floor of the loft that M wants to put in. We drove past these canola silos, fourteen of them fell down suddenly last week, and tons of canola was spilled out. They still have not found out what caused them to fall down, and fortunately nobody was injured, plus they think they might be able to salvage most of the canola seeds.
