Hard yakka

This was a day of really heavy digging.
This is our veggie patch.
For several years it was covered by decking and I am bringing back into production after removal of the decking.
The problem was that the ground was filled with builders rubble, and a stratum of gravel and cemented gravel.
Triple digging was needed and a lot of work with a pick, extracting the rubble and rock, dumping it, and then working in compost and the horse manure donated by our friendly farmer, whose Dexter cows we help to look after.
This was a tough day.
I managed just over half of the job, the rest will come tomorrow, all being well (including me!)
