En-route to New Zealand on board an Airbus 330. Just a short hop from Fiji and no jet lag as the hour doesn't change. Did lose an hour retrieving bags and clearing customs and then another crossing Auckland for our first coffee in a wonderful Belgian Bar in Mission Bay. By then I was driving Catriona's car and sampling the wonderful collection of Trappist beers wasn't an option. Later, dinner was at the Mikano Restaurant overlooking the Heliport - a belated birthday treat from C & D to us both. Snapper, flounder and some local deep sea delicacy called "Hoki - our Philippino waitress said. We think. (She had a difficult accent to interpret...)
Great to be back in Sayegh Street after our year away and really looking forward to the next few weeks.
