Birthday Girl

After school today Amy had tennis at Lensbury, which she loves, so she was very happy to go along on her birthday. After she had finished her lesson she had tea with her friends there.

As she wanted to cut the pony cake with Daddy when he got home, I made some cupcakes for her and her friends to eat there. I took 9 along and put a candle in each. Everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to her, she blew out her candles and made a wish.

When we got home this evening, she told me that she had had a wonderful day, "even though I had to go to school!" When you have put some effort in, it's nice to hear it's all been worth it!
