Big horn

I went for a walk yesterday late afternoon, passed the pen for the cows and calves - this lady was having a lie-down - she has the biggest, terribly impressive horns.  The cows keep their horns as they can use them to defend their calves, the steers all have their horns removed, too much room for injury with over-zealous young boys. 

Christmas preparations all round, we sort of kind of getting there.  The cake has had it's first round of decoration - it's iced, but needs prettying up.  Final Christmas shopping tomorrow - never, ever has it been this late.  Then present wrapping, panicking about the unimaginative Christmas stocking that Dirk is getting and making presents for the neighbours.  Nothing like leaving it to the last minute.....
