That's my boy

Daddy, guess what I want for Christmas next year?????  Or at least, guess what Mummy wants for Christmas for me next year - probably more apt and probably a little optimistic (an understatement).

We had a day out to the Motopo's today, it was a slight disaster, but still very nice.  We left at 7am as new laws in Zim mean that all cars must carry serviced fire extinguishers, this is a very appropriate law until you consider the quality of the vehicles on the roads, especially at night where a working headlight is a bonus.  The fine for not having the extinguisher is $100 - as is the new fine for all 'small' offences, so the $20 fine we had recently is now considered lucky.  Therefore, before heading off, we had to get fire extinguishers serviced, and in true Zim style, when the man says it will take half an hour, he really means well over an hour.

Regardless of this, when we reached our destination - a place called the Farmhouse - we found a delightful lodge run by a man my mother in law knows as did the friend who had joined us for the day.  My mother in law had taken us there because there is a girl there who is English and help with the horses - she therefore considers that we must instantly be friends - she'd gone up to Vic Falls for a few days, so I think we will be having a return visit.  We took a tour of the very smart stables and found a saddle hanging from a tree - the picture is of the boy laughing and enjoying it, there were a few pictures where he certainly wasn't so sure.  However, to my mind, he's clearly a natural.
