Experimenting

This is a shot of one of the wise men from a nativity set painted by my late Mother in Law. The distance from the top of the gift he is carrying to his hat is less than an inch.  All the colours skin clothes details etc were hand painted by her.

This morning we drove Katkatkat and G back home to Edinburgh  After a slight panic at Milo's viv not working and a rush out to get a new heat bulb and a supermarket shop we returned to Cumbria.  Fortunately Storm Frank hadn't started and the trip was easy and uneventful;.

I headed this shot experimenting as it is my first shot taken with a lens reversing ring.  As you will see I haven't allowed properly for the shallow DoF and so I will look for a better subject for my next attempt.
