Fur Enough.....

There was a debate on Radio 2 this morning, about whether or not people should be allowed time off work when their pet dies.

One side of the argument was that they're only animals, and therefore not as important as people; the other supported the view that to some, grief for a deceased pet is as strong as that for a relative....

I think it depends very much on the character of the owner - who can really understand how someone else feels?

Anyway, I've noticed this cat a lot recently. He gives me his cool appraisal each evening on my way home from work. Somehow, he manages to convey the impression that I'm an inferior being......I don't think he'd hold much truck with people grieving for him once he's gone......
