Look at That!

Sitting on the patio late this afternoon, Mr. Fun suddenly said, "Look at that!" He went on to explain that the wasps were building a nest inside and under the top of the wind chimes hanging there on the patio cover. So when it cooled down this evening (it really wasn't hot today), and the wasps were slowing down, I dared to get close and capture them finishing a day's work. I think by this time tomorrow, they will be gone. At least that is what Mr. Fun is promising.

While eating dinner this evening, I was explaining to Mr. Fun that once again I didn't think I got much done today (okay, I did accomplish a few things) and it was then that I realized that if we were on vacation somewhere we'd be doo-dah-ing the day away and spending money on a room and meals. So while we are not officially vacationing, I am "on break" from the grueling school year and all the responsibilities that come with teaching. My room is paid for and I am not out burning through money as can easily be done while vacationing. I am in my fourth week of summer break from the campus and I am thoroughly enjoying staying home; I hope that in itself is some sort of accomplishment.
